If you are visiting Lombok and want an authentic cultural experience then go to BC Foundation! I spent 23 wonderful days there volunteering to teach English and left with a new family in Lombok 💕 Mr Tony runs an amazing project that allows local children and youth to learn English and give them the opportunities they deserve in the tourism/hospitality industry. It was so special to be a part of their journey and they also taught me so much about their society. Besides volunteering, you can visit so many beautiful places, like waterfalls, rice fields, and the best: a 3 day trekking tour through the non-touristy route to Rinjani crater. My heart is so full after so many special memories. Go support their homestay and foundation!!!

I had a wondefull time at BC and was made to feel very welcome. It's really inspiring to see what Mr.Tony has done for all of the students and he involved us in many local events and we even went to a wedding. The place is very beautiful and he got me a cheap motorbike to rent so I could explore lots of the island and all of the amazing waterfalls. The students and other volunteers were great fun to hang out with and I made a lot of great friends and I am missing them all already. Mr.Tony is also a great guy and I had a lot of interesting conversations during my time there. There was lots of tasty food available that I had never tried before and I never went hungry. I look forward to returning in 2024 to trek and stay up Mount Rinjani with Mr.Tony for 10 days. Thank you everyone for all of the great memories.

BC is a really special place here in Lombok that everybody should visit if they have the chance! The foundation is doing amazing things to help the youth villagers, and volunteering here is a fun and rewarding experience. The nature is so beautiful, and the family/students here are the most kind. You will have a real experience here and be a part of local life. Mr Tony is always here to answer your questions and he can set up many tours for you to experience this beautiful island. During my time here, I trekked Mountain Rinjani and went snorkeling to Pink beach which were both amazing. I reccomend this place to everybody!! Don’t hesitate to visit, and spread the word about BC!

We had a really good time our week at the BC foundation, teaching and also learning from the students there. Eva and Tony are so kind and they look after us like part of the family.
